Tanning To Perfect Skin

Whilst in some parts of the world, particularly in Asia, pale skin is considered iconic, in most Western cultures, it is a tan that is the object of desire. Exposed to images of bronzed and accessorized starlets, we associate a tan with glamour. Their tans signify luxury and an affluent life. Wanting to look attractive we seek to copy that almost perfect skin complexion and tone. And just like those Hollywood starlets and bikini girls, we are no less committed in the time we spend creating that tan. Luckily, the affordability of tanning parlous and skincare products make it more accessible to those of us on more mortal budgets.

There are a lot of reasons to get a tan. Tans hide skin imperfections and reduce the appearance of cellulite. They accessorize well with clothes, and generally allow us to wear a larger range of colors and prints. We appear healthier, and more relaxed, like we just returned from a vacation.

Its' one thing to want a tan, another to get one. Just sunbathing gets tedious very quickly, and is a bit unreliable. It is impossible to control how strong the sun is, therefore we're more likely to get burned than tanned, unless we have a good base tan to start with. And it can be difficult to find the time to lie in the sun. Compared to a session in a tanning bed, it can take hours and a lot of peeling to get a good tan.

Of course, there's always the option of a tanning salon. But that has its' disadvantages too. For one, you've got the traveling time, then you have to fit the appointment into your schedule. And then there's hygiene. Whilst the antibacterial cleaners are good, there's nothing like having your own tanning bed for peace of mind.

Having Treatments in the Comfort of your Home

Residential tanning beds are probably the epitome of convenience in the pursuit of gorgeous skin. They are surprisingly affordable in the long run too. As long as you're sensible and don't overdo do it in the excitement of having your own tanning bed available 24/7, you can maintain a great color too. And that's without having to spend hours lying on the beach. Most tanning beds have facial tanners that you can use to lightly tan your face without exposing it too much. And if you add up how much you would spend at the tanning salon over the average life span of a residential tanning bed, its easy to see how it would pay for itself.
